Getting started as a coach

Over the past months I have been working on a podcast series for the Association for Coaching called ‘Getting Started as a Coach.’ It was born from my own experiences of moving into coaching. All those questions I had. All those hours I spent looking for answers. All the bemusement and befuddlement as I tried to penetrate the acronyms, organisations and levels. It’s 8 episodes exploring topics like:

  • what it takes to be a coach. The skills, mindset and qualities that can help you succeed

  • a tour of coaching models and training

  • an introduction to the ICF, AC and EMCC

  • accreditation

  • supervision

  • how to start working as a coach - as a solopreneur or in an establised business

  • tools and techniques to be an effective coach

  • learning and continuing professional development

  • and many amazing tips, insights and pearls of wisdom from some of the brightest coaching minds out there

The series is the perfect introduction to coaching for those new to coaching, or even just considering a career in the dynamic coaching industry. Established coaches will be interested in new tools and techniques from Michelle Lucas, and learning inspiration from Tracy Sinclair. There’s something for every coach in this wide-ranging series.

It was an incredible process and I have learned so much from my generous and passionate guests. I cannot wait to listen to all of the final episodes!
