Do you have the purrfect WFH colleague π or unleash π yourself as a stress reliever?
An article in Women's Health caught my eye about cats being the perfect work companion and I almost immediately dismissed it, but with a little reflection and help from Freddy and Achilles (pictured here in a frequent pose, who some of you will remember from pretty much every video meeting with me ever) I gave it a read. Having a pet is an excellent boost to your well-being: 96% of respondents in the research shared saw positive benefits. When you need a reset at work or are feeling stressed look no further than a furry (or not, all pets welcome! π π’ π π π ) friend. The benefits of animal companionship to those who are isolated, elderly or unwell have long been known so let's add the remote worker and the late-night slogger to the list. And having us home workers present also boosts the animals' wellness and improves behaviour. So if you have an animal at home, the next time they knock your keyboard to the floor or whine for lunch consider how they're helping you cope during your busy day.
